So In case you guys hadn't noticed, I'm loving cheap makeup products right now. Its that time of year when I'm saving for Christmas, everyone's birthday presents and mine and Seans anniversary, so moneys pretty tight. But luckily for me Wilkos has started selling Essence beauty products, all of which are under £5!

Okay so I know what you're thinking, a £2 lipstick, how good can it be? Well I'll tell you..

DEEP BERRY RED LIPSTICK IN A PLAIN BLACK TUBE

Let's start with the price as that's the main reason why I bought it. At just £2.60 it's a bargain and a half! Most of my lipsticks are £10+ which isn't too bad considering how long they last but if I could I would love to pay less.

At under £3 for a lipstick I wasn't expecting a lot and honestly it's not the most glamorous looking lipstick. The case is plain black and pretty basic but for the price I can't complain at all.

Now let's talk about the staying power. One reason why I usually spend a fair bit on lipstick is because I assume if I pay more they are going to be better quality and stay on for hours. I was so surprised at how long this lipstick stayed on. I wore it for the first time to go for a meal with Sean and I couldn't believe that hours after putting it on, and even after eating my food the colour was still quite vivid. I couldn't really be happier with how long is stays on.

One thing I will say though is that sometimes I apply a coat of Carmex on top of my lipsticks to make them super shiny and they don't last half as long as they would on their own.

Another good point is how easy is it so apply. It's not a sticky dry lipstick so it goes on really nicely and it's so easy to wipe off again if you make a mistake.

I really love this lipstick. This shade in particular is a gorgeous pinky red shade that is one of my favorites and I think really suits me.

I only have one problem with this lipstick and that is that at £2.60 I seem to have bought quite a few in lots of other shades!

Overall I love this product. I literally don't have anything bad to say about it. If you are looking for a decent cheap lipstick and you aren't too bothered about it looking fancy, this is the lipstick for you.

The Essence Lipstick in shade 'On The Catwalk' is a brilliant bargain buy and I would give it a 9/10

Have you tried any products from the Essence range before? What did you think?

ESSENCE LIPSTICK IN SHADE #4 'ON THE CATWALK'

I've been meaning to cancel my Glossybox subscription for the past few months but I really can't bare to get rid of it! It's like a little surprise present to myself each month and I just can't bring myself to cancel it just yet. So these monthly Glossybox posts are going to be around for a little while longer!

So here is what I received in this my October Glossybox...

1. Rimmel London BB Cream - I can't wait to try this little beauty out! I've been after a good BB cream for a while now and I've heard good things about this one. I've been using Rimmel foundation for a while now so I'm excited to try another version of it.

2. Yves Rocher France Quelques Notes D'amour - If you read my blog you will know I wasn't overly impressed with the last Yves Rocher product I received, but I'm still looking forward to trying out this perfume. I always love testing new perfumes and I especially love getting sample sizes that I can pop in my bag and take out with me.

3. So Susan Cosmetics Flutter Mascara -  The didn't like the last mascara Glossy Box sent me but I'm hoping this one is a bit better. I have one mascara that I swear by and I've been wearing it since I was 16 so this product would really have to be amazing to impress me!

4. Etre Belle Cosmetics Liplift Peel - I cant even explain how happy I am to have this! I unfortunately suffer with dry/ peeling lips so I can't wait to give this a go.

5. Ciate London Paint Pot Nail Varnish - This is another product I was over the moon to receive. I've been wanting some Ciate nail polish for years and now I have one! I got a lovely turquoise shade (#60 Ditch the Heels) which I don't think I would have chosen myself but I still think its gorgeous. I cant wait to paint my nails with this and I'll post the results here!

6. Nuxe Creme Fraiche - I always love a good face cream and this one smells beautiful. I haven't tried it yet but I have high hopes for this product and I'll let you all know what I think.

I think this months box might actually be my favorite yet. I'm so excited to try everything and I will definitely be writing reviews for everything so keep a lookout!

What do you think of the August Glossybox?

OCTOBER GLOSSYBOX

Another month and another round up of beauty products! This months beauty favourites contains quite a few bits and bobs from the Glossyboxes I've been receiving over the last few months.

So here are the beauty items I've been loving throughout September...

A FLATLAY PHOTOGRAPH OF THE PRODUCTS I'VE BEEN LOVING THROUGHOUT SEPTEMBER

1. Nivea 3 in 1 Micellar Cleansing Water - I received this little beauty in last months Glossybox and I love it. I'm a bugger for leaving makeup on before I go to bed and getting this product has deffo encouraged me to take it off before I go to sleep. It takes my makeup off really easily and smells great too. It claims to cleanse, remove makeup and moisturize. Although I haven't noticed any difference in my dry skin it definitely does the first two.

2. Teeez Trend Cosmetics Flat Eyeshadow Brush - This is another Glossybox Product I use daily. When I first got this little brush I wasn't that impressed, it was really stiff and I just didn't like it. But since then my fave eye shadow brush died and I had to use this until I could purchase a new one. After using it a few times I realized how good it actually was and never went out to buy a new brush. Its a lot thicker than my other brushes which is why I love it and its softened up a bit since I first got it too.

3. Baylis & Harding Strawberries and cream hand lotion - This hand cream came in a gift set I bought in the sale after valentine's day this year. Its took me quite a while to get around to using it and now its almost gone. I love this cream so much. it smells amazing and it doesn't upset my eczema even though its very heavily scented.

4. L'Oreal Mythic Oil - Another Glossybox product surprise surprise. This also came in the September Glossybox and it is amazing. I used it virtually straight away and I couldn't have been happier. It smells so gorgeous and it's not greasy. It makes my hair look healthy and shiny without making it look like it hasn't been washed in a week, like some other oils.

I hope you enjoying reading through my September beauty Favorites!

SEPTEMBER BEAUTY FAVOURITES

I received this Yves Rocher nail varnish in my August Glossybox and I was so happy I did. It's a gorgeous colour and a shade I've been after for quite a while. This was the perfect summer colour for me and couldn't had arrived at a better time as it was the polish I used for my holiday nails.

Although I haven't shown it here I decided to use this varnish under a top coat of a sparkly pink varnish. I was very happy with the overall outcome although that was largely due to the top coat I chose.

I found this nail varnish very hard to apply evenly as it was fairly gloopy. The fact that the brush was very small and quite bad quality contributed to how hard it was to apply.

When I tried to apply a second coat it seemed to just move the first coat around and my nails were left looking quite patchy. I managed to save the whole thing by applying a thick glittery top coat and I know now for the future that I will always have to use some sort of top coat if I chose to use this varnish again.

Overall I love the colour of this nail varnish but its such a pain to apply. I probably will use it again but I will remember to apply a top coat so it doesn't look uneven.

All in all I would give this the Yves Rocher nail polish a 4/10

Have you tried any of the Yves Rocher Nail Varnishes? What did you think of the quality of the polish?
